Privacy Policy

We don't keep anything.

Effective 30 October 2026 · Version 1.2.1

Short version. LastTap has no backend, no account system, no analytics, and no tracking, on iPhone and on Android. Your events, photos, and counters live on your device and, if iCloud sync or Android backup is on, in your own iCloud or Google account. We literally can't see them.

Who we are

LastTap is made by Ankit Aglawe, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). Contact: ankitships@gmail.com.

Data we collect

None on any server of ours, because we don't have one. You do not create an account. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, usage data, crash reports, advertising IDs, or anything else. A few things do leave your device for the app to work; they're listed below.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the events you create (their names, photos, reset dates, history, and counts) and your settings in a local database on your device: Apple's SwiftData on iPhone, Room on Android. Photos you pick from your own library are copied into the app's private storage and never uploaded by the app. On iPhone, the LastTap widgets read a copy of your events from a shared space on the same iPhone so they can show your counts. Apart from what's listed below, this data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it yourself.

What leaves your device

Notifications

If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device (UserNotifications on iPhone, AlarmManager on Android). No notification data is sent to any server.

Third parties

The only third parties involved are Unsplash (photo search), Apple (purchases and iCloud sync on iPhone), and Google (purchases and backup on Android). We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, AdMob, or any other analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK.

Children

LastTap is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because we don't keep your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct, but you can always email us to ask. To remove everything, open LastTap → Settings → Delete everything. If iCloud sync is on, that also removes your events from your iCloud and your other devices. Deleting the app erases the data on that device only. Any copy already in your iCloud stays there, including after you turn sync off. On Android, an existing backup in your Google account is removed by Android after a period of inactivity, or straight away from Google Drive → Backups.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and bump the version number above. Check back if you want to stay current.
